Last week, we were delighted to welcome Ollie to Alderney Electricity for three days of work experience with our engineering team.

During his placement, Ollie gained first-hand experience of working at our power station, learning how we generate and maintain Alderney's electricity supply. Working alongside our engineers, he got involved in practical tasks, learned about generator operation and control systems, and discovered more about the exciting future of renewable energy on Alderney.

Here's what Ollie had to say about his experience:

"Thank you so much for helping to organise my work experience. Please pass on my thanks especially to Chris Johns and the other people working at the power station. I found it extremely interesting to learn and get first-hand experience working with engineers at the power station in order to further my understanding of electrical engineering and its practical applications. It was also exciting hearing about the plans to install solar and other renewable energy sources.
