New website launched for Alderney Electricity
1 June 2026 | News
Alderney Electricity has launched a new website designed to make it easier for customers to access information, understand the island’s electricity system and find practical support and services online.
The new site replaces the company’s previous website and reflects a broader effort to improve communication, transparency and customer access to information.
Alongside updated service information, the website includes guidance on electricity supply, tariffs, renewable energy, EV charging, heating systems, oil deliveries and energy use in the home. Customers can also access downloadable forms, account information, outage updates and advice pages covering common questions and services.
The website has also been designed to explain more clearly how Alderney’s electricity system operates, and how it is expected to evolve over time as the island moves gradually towards greater use of renewable energy.
Managing Director Chris MacGregor said the project was driven by a desire to improve clarity and make information easier to access for islanders.
“We know customers increasingly expect clear and accessible information online, particularly as the energy system becomes more complex and technology changes. The new website is an important step in improving how we communicate and support the community.”
The launch follows customer feedback highlighting the importance of clearer communication, practical advice and better access to information about services and future energy plans.
Alderney Electricity says the website will continue to evolve. Future development is expected to include enhanced customer account functionality, improved access to energy usage information and additional digital services to help customers better understand and manage their electricity use.
The company also confirmed that more news, educational content and community updates will be added over the coming months. If you have views to contribute to this or any aspect of AE’s communications and customer service, please get in touch.
