We are absolutely delighted to announce that our very own Owen Carre has been named TGI Apprentice of the Year 2026!

Owen received the award at last night's ceremony, held at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts in Guernsey, with Lord Digby Jones as the Guest of Honour.

Owen joined Alderney Electricity in 2020 and has grown into an exceptional apprentice, demonstrating outstanding technical ability, professionalism and dedication. Throughout his apprenticeship he has continually gone above and beyond, becoming a valued member of our team and someone, our customers and colleagues trust implicitly.

Peter Allen, Electrical Network Manager, said:

"Owen is a credit to both himself and Alderney Electricity. His commitment, professionalism and willingness to learn have been outstanding throughout his apprenticeship. Winning Apprentice of the Year is a fantastic achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved. We couldn't be prouder of him."
